Lightroom Flash Galleries that “hang” on the “loading images” message

It appears that Flash galleries generated by Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 that have images in the header (for example, an Identity Plate) sometimes have a problem loading images. It seems to occur only on galleries hosted on certain web servers, and then only on certain end-user machines.

**Update This is fixed in LR 1.1

If you wanted an alternative method to put your logo above a gallery, you could add it to the html page itslef, and then “turn off” the header in the gallery.

Here’s how you’d do that:

Thanks for this, I’d had a couple of people complaining of this problem on my site and was totally stuck for a solution.

And this solution brings a bonus with it - I’d also had people complain that my logo did not link back to the website home page. I searched in Lightroom but there seems no option to do this, the only external link possible seems to be in the small “Contact Info” text. Using an external logo in the HTML means that I can also wrap it with an anchor tag to provide a link back to the home page.

FYI, this is fixed in LR 1.1

I have LR 1.3 and I am still hanging on “loading images” Works locally just not on my server. seems to be a problem with the mapping of the “bin” folder on the server.

Has nothing to do with the image in the header. I am not using it. When I try to pull up one of the gallery images with a direct path I get a 404 error.
